Luke was born in Jackson, MS and raised in Florence, MS. He was raised doing taxidermy work with his dad, David, and has a passion for the hobby. He has helped his dad with many different type animals from small North American animals to exotics.
After graduating high school in Florence, Luke went to college where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Wood Products from Mississippi State University. He then moved to the state of Georgia to work for Georgia Pacific. After building an impressive resume for himself, he decided that it was time to move closer to home, Meridian. Not long after moving back to the state of MS he decided to start helping his dad again in his taxidermy work. By being back in the shop and helping his dad, he soon realized that he wanted to open up his own shop. Less than a year after moving to Quitman, Luke had his shop up and running. He opened his shop in September, 2006.
Although Luke is young in the business, he has a passion about his work and the quality that is turned out of his shop. As of today he holds a full time job with Handy Hardware in Meridian and does his taxidermy work at night and on the weekends. He has high hopes that he can make his taxidermy work full time in the near future.
